Hi! I’m Mary Kelley
I started the Physician Sensei podcast to inspire and inform, infusing humor along the way to keep our discussions fun. My goal is to contribute to the overall learning and well-being of my colleagues, candidates, clients, and listeners by addressing key issues like the physician shortage, physician staffing, and healthcare recruitment. We explore a wide range of topics, including hospital staffing solutions, healthcare sourcing tools, and specialty physician recruitment, ensuring we tackle the most pressing challenges in our field. With your help, that mission will be a success.
I want to connect with individuals who share a commitment to personal and professional growth, mental health advocacy, veterans' affairs, and prison reform. If any of these topics resonate with you, or if you're interested in discussions on telemedicine recruitment, physician job openings, or working with a medical staffing agency, tune in to our show.
With nearly two decades as a professional physician recruiter and over a decade in mental health advocacy, I bring experience and insight to the conversation. I've traveled the country many times over and have placed more than 500 physicians with facilities nationwide, offering hospital staffing solutions and earning accolades for my work with Fortune 500 companies and building start-ups. As part of my work at a recruitment firm for doctors, I’ve been recognized as 'Recruiter of the Year' many times over, and I sincerely appreciate the people who have helped me get those wins.
My journey into advocacy began when my son was diagnosed with a mental health condition at six years old. This personal experience ignited my passion, and I have since been actively involved with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, where I facilitate educational programs and lead support groups. As the proud daughter of a Navy veteran, I also serve on the Veteran's Mental Health Council, focusing on dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health challenges in the military community. My personal experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of these issues, especially after my son, who was living with the untreated symptoms of schizoaffective disorder, faced a challenging period that led to his incarceration. This harrowing experience revealed the mistreatment and abuse many incarcerated individuals endure, intensifying my dedication to prison reform.
I genuinely value the opportunity to hear your story and share mine. Together, we can inspire meaningful change and uplift one another in our journeys.
Let’s connect!
